These Terms & Conditions (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the Self-ish mobile application (the “App”) operated by Self-ish Co. LLC (“Self-ish,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). By accessing or using the App, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the App.
1. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old to use the App. By using the App, you represent and warrant that you meet this requirement.
The App is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
2. Your Account
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account.
You agree to notify us promptly of any unauthorized use of your account.
We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or that we reasonably believe are compromised, misused, or harmful to the App or other users.
3. License to Use the App
Subject to your compliance with these Terms, Self-ish grants you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to download and use the App for your personal, non-commercial use.
You may not copy, modify, distribute, sell, lease, sublicense, reverse engineer, or otherwise exploit the App except as expressly permitted by these Terms or applicable law.
4. Acceptable Use
You agree to use the App only in accordance with applicable law and these Terms.
You agree not to:
Use the App in any unlawful manner
Attempt to access accounts, systems, or data without authorization
Upload or store unlawful, harmful, abusive, or otherwise inappropriate content
Interfere with or disrupt the App’s functionality or security
Introduce viruses, malicious code, bots, scrapers, or automated tools without authorization
We reserve the right to remove content or restrict access if we determine, in our sole discretion, that these Terms have been violated.
5. User Content
You retain ownership of content you submit to the App, including habits, goals, reflections, photos, and other personal entries (“User Content”).
By submitting User Content, you grant Self-ish a limited, non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide license to host, store, process, reproduce, and display such content solely for the purpose of operating, maintaining, securing, and improving the App.
We may use aggregated or de-identified information derived from User Content for analytics, research, and product improvement. We do not sell your personal content.
You are solely responsible for your User Content and represent that you have all necessary rights to submit it.
You may delete User Content within the App and may request account deletion as described in our Privacy Policy. Deleted content may remain in backup systems for a limited period consistent with our retention practices.
6. Privacy
Your use of the App is governed by our Privacy Policy, which describes how we collect, use, store, and protect your information. In the event of a conflict regarding privacy matters, the Privacy Policy will control.
7. Subscriptions and Payments
Certain features of the App require a paid subscription.
Payments are processed through third-party platforms, such as RevenueCat and the Apple App Store. We do not collect or store your payment card information.
Subscriptions renew automatically unless canceled through the platform where you subscribed.
Refunds, billing disputes, and cancellations are handled in accordance with the applicable platform’s policies.
We reserve the right to modify subscription pricing or plans. Where required by law, we will provide advance notice of pricing changes, which will take effect at the start of the next billing period.
If you cancel or downgrade your subscription, access to certain features may end at the conclusion of your current billing period.
8. No Professional Advice; No Guarantees
Self-ish is a lifestyle application designed to help users reflect, organize, and work toward personal goals.
The App does not provide medical, mental health, financial, legal, or other professional advice.
We do not guarantee any specific outcomes, results, or improvements from using the App. Your progress and decisions are your own.
If you are experiencing a crisis or emergency, do not rely on the App and seek appropriate professional or emergency assistance.
9. Intellectual Property
All content, features, branding, design elements, software, and functionality of the App (excluding User Content) are owned by Self-ish or its licensors and are protected by intellectual property laws.
You may not use, reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works from any part of the App without our prior written consent.
10. Service Availability and Changes
We may modify, update, suspend, or discontinue the App, in whole or in part, at any time.
We do not guarantee that the App will be uninterrupted, secure, error-free, or free from data loss.
11. Third-Party Services
The App may rely on or integrate with third-party services, including app stores, cloud hosting providers, analytics providers, authentication services, and subscription management platforms.
Your use of those services is subject to their respective terms and policies. We are not responsible for third-party services.
12. Termination
You may stop using the App at any time.
We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms or if your use of the App poses risk or harm to Self-ish or others.
Upon termination, your right to use the App will immediately cease.
13. Disclaimer of Warranties
The App is provided “as is” and “as available.”
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Self-ish disclaims all warranties, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, title, and non-infringement.
We do not warrant that the App will meet your expectations or that it will be uninterrupted, secure, or error-free.
14. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Self-ish and its officers, directors, employees, and agents shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, punitive, or exemplary damages, including loss of profits, data, goodwill, or other intangible losses arising from or relating to your use of (or inability to use) the App.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claims arising out of or relating to the App or these Terms shall not exceed the amount you paid to Self-ish for access to the App during the twelve (12) months preceding the claim.
Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations of liability, so some of the above limitations may not apply to you.
15. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Self-ish and its affiliates, officers, directors, employees, and agents from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys’ fees) arising out of or related to:
Your use of the App
Your User Content
Your violation of these Terms
16. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.
Any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or the App shall be resolved on an individual basis in the state or federal courts located in Pennsylvania, unless applicable law requires otherwise.
17. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. If we do, we will update the Effective Date above and may provide additional notice where required by law.
Your continued use of the App after updated Terms take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
18. Entire Agreement
These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy and any additional terms presented within the App, constitute the entire agreement between you and Self-ish regarding your use of the App.
